ZOA Moroccan Will Bring Beef Tagine Sandwiches to Houston
The fast-casual spot is slated to this fall

Chef Youssef Nafaa’s opened Mia Bella Trattoria and Andalucia Tapas Restaurant & Bar, but for his next Houston restaurant, he’ll cook cuisine very close to his heart. The owner of Bella Restaurants Group will open fast casual restaurant ZOA Moroccan Kitchen this fall, inspired by what he grew up eating.
“I started with ZOA Moroccan because it is the food of my childhood,” he said in a press release. The food my grandmother and mother cooked. The food my brothers and I ate on the streets on my way from our farm to school every day.”
ZOA Moroccan Kitchen’s menu will include dishes like beef tagine sandwiches with spicy green harissa, sweet cinnamon carrots, and roasted beets. The restaurant will be located at located at 4708 Lillian Street in Rice Military near The Heights, with a slated opening date for this fall. This is the first of three new restaurants expected from Bella Restaurants Group.
