In 2011, a series of uprisings swept the Arab World – and women were at the front lines. Pushback came swiftly. Both military and Islamist forces harassed and intimidated women in an apparent attempt to silence them. But these women would not keep quiet. In the months to come, we’ll be using this space to share their stories.
