The Arab World in Pictures

The Arab World is full of beautiful landscapes, architecture, and art. The Middle East includes luxurious Mediterranean beaches, expansive deserts, and booming urban centers. From ancient ruins to natural wonders and bustling city streets, the Arab World is one of the most visually stunning regions on the globe.
Landscape
The Middle East is home to many stunning views. However, Wadi Rum in Jordan may be one of the most beautiful. Also known as the Valley of the Moon, this gorgeous desert is visited by thousands of hikers, campers, and tourists each year.
In many Middle Eastern locations, some cities are surrounded by deserts. The outskirts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The iconic Dubai skyline, with the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa stands shrouded in a dim cloud of sand and dust as a man walks with two camels. This symbolizes the stark difference between the lives of those in the city and living in the countryside.
Here we see one of many remnants of from the time of ancient civilizations that litters the Egyptian desert along the Nile River.
Architecture
Beautiful old world architecture is mixed with elements of modern society and life in Beirut, Lebanon.
Many cities in the Arab World feature quaint cobblestone streets and walkways weaving through markets, shops, and restaurants.
Culture
Millions of Muslims from across the globe make a pilgrimage to the Kaaba Stone at the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
The food in the Arab World is both delicious and visually stunning. The Middle East is known for its food diversity as well as popular dishes like hummus and baklava.
Some of the best shopping in the Arab World is in street markets and bazaars like this one in Morocco. You can find almost anything from handmade trinkets and clothing to beautiful artwork and food.
Henna is a detailed and fascinating form of art that is incredibly popular in the Arab World, and is thought to have been invented over 5,000 years ago!
