There is MORE WORK in the efforts to test the addition of a MENA (Middle East North Africa) category in the 2020 Census.
The comments submitted (in December 2014 and January 2015) to the Federal Register’s disclosure of Census plans to test a MENA ethnic category were overwhelming in support of such testing. Thanks to people like YOU, they recorded over 13,000 positive comments, of which 737 comments contained a suggested definition of MENA.
Now, we are asking you to support our efforts to provide the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) with written comments and recommendations for the proposed information collection.
All comments should be sent before June 14 to Glenna Mickelson.
Before the OMB can proceed with testing in 2015, a public comment period is required by law. Your opinion matters.
