Press release:
This month we’re fusing Detroit’s funkiest rhythm section with the aesthetics and music of the Arab World.
It’s all set in the spirit and celebration of our diverse Detroit and how we can shine a light on inclusion through the performing arts.
In February 2016, Sean Blackman be gan hosting the I†n†Transit†Detroit†concert series on the last Thursday of every month at the magnificent Garden Theater in midtown Detroit. He continues, spotlighting a different country each month through live music, dance, cuisine and the visual arts, creating a series where no two shows are alike.
Each month, Blackman selects the most talented international artists that are now living in Metro Detroit and integrates them with Detroit’s finest mainstream musicians.
