High-society magazine Tatler has released the ultimate guest list with this year’s 100 Most Invited List, the Telegraph reports.
Hollywood couple Amal and George Clooney are a new entry at number two. Their October 2014 purchase of a £10million sprawling country mansion in Sonning has made them “Berkshire’s most glamorous new arrivals”. Although the property is still under renovation, the pair have been spending more time in the UK, as Amal has been involved in a series of high profile cases at law firm Doughty Street Chambers. With George continuing to criss-cross the globe to walk red carpets for his films, the couple’s inclusion on the list is no surprise.
The top ten list also includes Romeo and Brooklyn Beckham, Prince Harry, media mogul Rupert Murdoch and his fiancee Jerry Hall at number 10. Lady Vi, 22, Lady Alice, 20 and Lady Eliza, 18 – are daughters of the Duke of Rutland and top the table.
Tatler’s social editor Tibbs Jenkins explained that inclusion on the list means that you know how to have fun, can spin a tale, or in the case of the Manners sisters- “always liven up a party” by jumping up and down on the furniture, being amusing and wearing very short dresses.”
Not sure about the short dresses or his storytelling skills, but Sheikh Hamad Bin Abdullah Al Thani, who comes in at number 9, is well-connected to the British aristocracy and certainly has space for a house party. Al Thani and his brothers are the new superpowers of horse-racing with sponsorship of Royal Ascot, and dinner parties at the sheikh’s Dudley House palace are regularly ‘the hottest ticket in town’ according to a Vanity Fair spread on the pad.
Tatler’s ‘Top 10 Most Invited’ are:
1. The Manners sisters
2. Amal and George Clooney
3. Marchioness and Marquess of Douro
4. Romeo and Brooklyn Beckham
5. Prince Harry
6. Suki Waterhouse
7. Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece
8. Dasha Zhukova
9. Sheikh Hamad Bin Abdullah Al Thani
10. Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall
