The 77th annual Golden Globe Awards officially kick off awards season in Hollywood tonight. Being the first award show of the year, we expect the biggest names in the film industry to bring their A-game to the red carpet, delighting us with unforgettable fashion moments.
In honour of this glittering occasion, here are our top 10 looks by Arab designers from the last few year that brought some serious drama to the event.
Lily Collins – Zuhair Murad
The Love, Rosie actress is Hollywood red-carpet royalty, constantly stunning with her elegant looks. In 2017, Lily was up for her first Golden Globe, opting for a pink embellished Zuhair Murad gown.
Lili Reinhart – Khyeli
For her first Golden Globe appearance last year, the Riverdale star stunned in a bright red tulle dress. The frilly ball gown is by London-based womenswear brand Khyeli, which is lead by Emirati designer Ahmed Khyeli.
Olivia Culpo – Zuhair Murad
The former Miss USA stunned in a black intricate Zuhair Murad dress on the red-carpet in 2017. The halter-neck gown featured colourful details and patterns, which she complimented with an up-do and side-braids for a winning look.
Beyoncé – Elie Saab
In true Queen Bey style, the songstress walked the 2007 red-carpet in a figure hugging Elie Saab dress. The glittery gold ensemble was fitting choice given she was nominated for her turn in Dreamgirls.
Madonna – Reem Acra
Ultimate trend-setter, Madonna wore a custom Reem Acra gown when she won a Golden Globe in 2012. The iconic artist wore a metallic green gown, which featured silk patchwork which faded into the glittering bodice.
Patricia Clarkson – Georges Chakra
Patricia won the Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Limited Series Or Movie Made for Television award for her role in Sharp Objects. The 59-year-old actress stole the show in a bright orange dress by Lebanese label Georges Chakra Couture.
