National Arab American Women’s Association Outraged by Congressman King's Remarks
Members of the National Arab American Women’s Association (NAAWA) are visiting the office of U.S. Representative, Steve King (R-IA) at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 17, to object to his record and remarks about white supremacy, and to speak about the great contributions the Arab-American community has and continues to make to this country.
As Arab Americans who are part of the fabric of this great nation, which is home to all of us, we at NAAWA find King’s remarks offensive and hurtful.
The members of NAAWA love this country for its diversity and multi-ethnic fiber. Arab Americans have been a vital part of the United States, in unique and significant ways.
NAAWA believes this country will continue as a great nation due to the contributions of people of every ethnic origin and that anyone who doesn’t understand and respect this should not be a representative in the US Congress.
NAAWA calls on Congress, both Democrats and Republicans, to take further action to censure Congressman King.
About NAAWA
