The spring campaign of French fashion house Louis Vuitton has been shot in Morocco. Entitled «Footprints», photos from the campaign were unveiled this week by the artistic director of Louis Vuitton Men’s Virgil Abloh.

According to Arab News, the images were photographed by Dutch artist Viviane Sassen in the cities of Tangier and Chefchaouen. The luxury retail company chose the two Moroccan cities for the theme of its new collection.

The photos had colorful backgrounds, with bushes, flowers, dunes and the beach, to «portray man’s positive footprint on planet Earth», Louis Vuitton said. Items worn by the models in Morocco relied on the same theme, with colorful prints.

«Honing the travel-centric core of the House, the campaigns illustrate and celebrate the formative acts and feelings shared by male youth around the globe, irrespective of culture and creed», the brand explained in a press release relayed by Arab News.

In addition to Louis Vuitton, French fashion maison Yves Saint Laurent has decided to shoot the campaign for its new cosmetics collection in Marrakech. Moroccan model Tilila Oulhajj will be starring in the images, which will be taken by Belgium-based Moroccan photographer Mous Lamrabat.
