IN PICTURES: Palestinian women take part in the protests
Thousands of Palestinian youth are resisting against Israeli forces all across the occupied territories and have called for the Third Intifada.
Similar to previous instances, Palestinian youth from both genders have gone out to the streets to participate in sit-ins and demonstrations, as well as collide with the Israeli security forces.
Hundreds of Palestinian women resisted along with Palestinian men throughout the clashes at Al-Balou neighborhood near Beit-El settlement.
The scene harks to the days of the First and Second Intifadas, as women played a key role in the struggle against Israel. They provided first aid as well as participating in militancy operations. Even though many women suffered from injuries, that did not prevent them from throwing stones and leading protests.
Women masked with the kuffiya or the Palestinian flag have been seen standing along the front lines, displaying up the slogan “Homeland is not restricted to a particular gender” and explaining that all Palestinians from each sex and age suffer from harassment and attacks by Israeli forces and settlers.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health has reported that in the past 10 days, Israel has killed 20 Palestinians and wounded 1,100 with rubber and live bullets.
