Arabic style in the interior is a real abundance of color, textures and details. It is very colorful and has bright and easily recognizable features. In the mysterious atmosphere of the Arabian interior, saturated with a delicate aroma of spices, you dissolve and forget about everything, enjoying some beautiful Al-Taghrooda poetry

The Arabic direction in design combines the stylistic features of several countries. It can be found in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, UAE and Egypt. The Arabic style has common features regardless of the country, but its diversity is made up of the traditions of each individual region.

Decorative elements in the Arabic style furniture

Despite the fact that the oriental interior is about luxury and wealth, the amount of furniture in it is strictly limited. The central place in the living room in Arabic style is occupied by a low sofa or sectional sofa, upholstered in velor, velvet, brocade or satin. In addition to it, there is a small ottoman or several of them. The design of the living room should be very comfortable. Often, upholstered furniture is decorated with man-made bedspreads with oriental ornaments.

If the size of the room allows, then, in the living room, you can allocate an area for tea drinking, which is decorated with a small tea table. The role of chairs in this case is successfully performed by pillows.

If a studio apartment is decorated in the Arabic style, then most often the kitchen is combined with a dining area, in which a large dining table made of natural wood is placed. It is decorated with carvings and inlays. Chairs are upholstered with dense fabrics with a pronounced texture or oriental patterns.

The color design of any interior plays a very important role, because the rest of the design will depend on it. The palette of shades of the Arabic style consists of rich tones of the warm spectrum. Most often in the interior, you can find combinations of red, orange, yellow, maroon. Accent details are selected in shades of purple, green and blue. All these colors go well with reflections of copper and bronze. Arabic interior is very intense and dynamic. It has no place for pale and inexpressive colors. If designers use Arabic style to decorate modern interiors, the riot of colors is restrained with pastel colors, leaving only a few details bright.

Patterns in the Arabic style, which are called arabesques, are known all over the world. They amaze with their complexity and beauty. An intricate, ornate ornament can contain both geometric and floral motifs. Very often, arabesques are complemented by Arabic script. This type of patterns is used everywhere: in the design of walls, floors, furniture and decor.

The use of oriental ornaments in the interior

There are several options for decorating the walls in the Arabic style. They can be decorated with expensive silk, moire, brocade or velvet, or they can be sheathed with wooden panels, which will depict traditional oriental ornaments. The only room that differs in wall decoration materials is the bathroom. Here it is customary to use tiles or mosaics, creating incredibly beautiful ornaments from small ceramic elements.

Arabic style does not accept smooth surfaces. That is why this direction favors the use of a variety of textures. In the interior in the Arabic style, you can find various wooden arches, partitions and platbands with fine lace carvings, which, thanks to the play of light and shadow, create an unusual pattern in the room. The ceiling is decorated in the same way as the walls. Often around the perimeter, it is decorated with arabesques and ornaments. In the traditional design in the Arabic style, you can find textile drapery on the ceiling.

Elegant resting areas in Arabic style

The floors in such an interior are most often made of stone or tiled with oriental ornaments. For those who do not accept this option, you can decorate the room with a natural wool carpet. Twilight of the Arab interior Regardless of the number of lighting fixtures, the interior in the Arabic style is, first of all, twilight. To decorate the room, choose curtains made of thick fabric. They will help to vary the intensity of natural light.

Arabic-style lighting fixtures are very diverse not only in appearance but also in design. The interiors are full of all kinds of chandeliers, wall sconces, stylized candelabra, pendant lamps. They are decorated with tassels, beads, stones, ornaments and carvings. The lamps, which are made in the form of a lantern with multi-colored glasses, look very nice. Forged chandeliers on thick chains will also be appropriate in an Arabic-style interior.

Lights usually have a warm spectrum. Such lighting creates the effect of an Arabian tent, enhances the traditional shades of this style and fills the room with an atmosphere of mystery. This style requires observance and reverence of centuries-old traditions in the process of making furniture and decor, an abundance of handicrafts and subtle oriental play with materials and textures.

The focal point in an Arabic style bedroom interior must be the bed. It has a central place in the room. The bed is decorated with many embellishing pillows, a beautiful bedspread. The oriental interior is not complete without a canopy. Translucent tulle or moire give the bed a mysterious look, as if it were the bed of a Persian queen. The headboard also deserves special attention. It is made of wood, decorated with ornaments, draped with velor or brocade. A niche decorated in an oriental style can also act as a headboard.

Most often, a chest of drawers is replaced with a large carved chest. Wardrobes are not used in traditional Arab interiors. Small items and decor are stored on shelves or in bedside tables. The role of the dressing room is performed by specially equipped niches, which are decorated with wooden doors with openwork carvings.

All furniture in the Arabic style is made only from natural materials. By tradition, it is customary to decorate it with the help of enamel and gilding. No Arabic-style interior is complete without a variety of accessories and decor items. First of all, these are fabric products. Oriental traditions are based on an abundance of various textile decorations. These are all kinds of decorative pillows, expensive curtains decorated with gold threads, handmade carpets and bedspreads.

Decor items in the Arabic style

Among the items of decor, slip casting is also very popular. With the help of this technique, dishes, jugs, vases and hookahs are made. The interior is complemented with books in richly decorated bindings, openwork bird cages, wrought iron mirrors and even musical instruments. The concept of modern Arabic style is not about expensive decoration, but a skillful combination of budget items to create the effect of a luxurious apartment. Decorate the room with bright oriental pillows, dim the lights, light incense and in the blink of an eye you will be transported to a fairy tale without leaving your home.
