In a video released on the International Rescue Committee‘s YouTube channel, stars from HBO’s “Game of Thrones” have called on their fans to donate to the campaign for Syrian refugees.
The video begins with Lena Headey, who portrays Cersei Lannister on the show, and includes everyone from Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister), Michiel Huisman (Daario Naharis), Hannah Murray (Gilly), Liam Cunningham (Sir Davos Seaworth), DeObia Oparei (Areo Hotah), Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Tom Wlaschiha (Jaqen H’ghar), Eugene Simon (Lancel Lannister) and Oona Chaplin (Talisa Stark).
This video comes due to a partnership between HBO and the IRC to bring attention to the refugee crisis. It intends to raise emergency funds to rescue the millions of people who have been affected by war and natural disasters. The video, titled “Rescue Has No Boundaries,” sheds light on the struggle of refugees, pointing out that no one should struggle alone. The cast of the hit series urge their fans to donate to the campaign.
Those who donate will also receive incredible perks, from getting your own authentic replica of the “unsullied” helmet and armor, to even attending the premiere of the next season with Kit Harrington (Jon Snow) and Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) along with other stars from the show.
Donations can be as little as $10. You can read more about the initiative on the website created forthe “Game of Thrones” campaign with the IRC.
