Father George Shalhoub Mourns the Loss of His Son-in-Law, Jason Zogaib
Father George Shalhoub, pastor of St. Mary’s Antiochian Orthodox Church, and his wife Nouhad are saddened to inform the Arab American community of the falling asleep in the Lord of their son-in-law Jason Zogaib.
Jason Zogaib, age 35, of Ann Arbor, Michigan died on March 13, 2009 after a courageous 2 year fight against leukemia. Jason graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Siena Heights College.
Jason served dutifully as an Ann Arbor Police Officer for over 10 years. Jason also had a passion for sports, having played baseball in college and playing competivive hockey for many years. He loved rooting for the Detroit Red Wings and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Jason’s brightest moments came from his family who loves him very much. He is also survived by the love of his life, his wife Lila (Shalhoub) Zogaib, and the apples of his eye: son Andrew, 5, and daughter Addison, 1. He is also survived by his father Thomas Zogaib; mother, Debra (Addy) Zogaib; brother Joseph (Marie) Zogaib; sister Jessica Zogaib; and grandmothers Evelyn Zogaib and Delores Haas.
Visitation will be Monday from 3-9pm with a Trisagion Service at 7:30pm at the Basilica of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 18200 Merriman Road, Livonia, Michigan. Funeral Service Tuesday 10:00am, instate 9:00am at the Church.

A meal of mercy will be served at St. Mary’s Cultural Center when the family returns from the cemetery.
