Facebook Launches New Female Empowerment Series in Dubai

Facebook have launched a brand new talk series in Dubai, to help educate, support and empower women in the region.
The three-part series will see some of the most prolific women in the region come together to discuss their careers and offer advice to women in the audience.
Emirates Woman have partnered with the social media giant for the series, and will be live streaming the event from the Facebook Headquarters in Dubai at 9.30am on Monday September 24.
The first in the She Means Business event series will look at the “power of mentorship”, with four influential locally-based women taking part in the talk.
The line-up for the event includes:
Omaira Farooq Al Olama
Omaira is the founder and managing director of the Alf Administration. The pioneering company aims to empower young people entering the workforce in the region.
Arwa Al Banawi
The Saudi Arabian founder of fashion boutique Arwa will be on hand to offer insight in to operating in the Middle East fashion industry.
Jumana Abu Hannoud
Jumana is the managing director of the local arm of human rights group SOS Children’s Villages International. She is also a founding member of UAE mentoring agency Reach.
Christine Harb
The head of marketing for Facebook across the MENA region and global luxury lead for the organisation will offer insight into working at the world’s biggest social media company.
The panel will be moderated by Georgie Bradley, the deputy editor of Emirates Woman magazine.
Fancy taking part? Head down to the Facebook offices in Knowledge Village Dubai at 9am on Monday September 24 2018 to register. The talk will commence at 9.30am sharp and will also be live streamed on both the @emirateswoman Instagram page and the @emirateswoman Facebook.
