Speaker Bios
Dr. Sh. Haifaa Younis: American Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, founder and Chairman of Jannah Institute, and a resident scholar at Jannah institute and the Islamic Center of Irvine. Holds degrees from Mecca Institute of Islamic Studies and Al-Huda Qur’an Memorization School.
Zaynab Ansari: Adjunct instructor at Boston Islamic Seminary and full-time instructor at Tayseer Seminary, teaching Islamic law, Qur’anic studies, Prophetic biography, American Muslim history, and women in Islam. Serves on the boards of Tayseer Foundation and the Muslim Community of Knoxville. Active in interfaith dialogue and bridge-building.
Ieasha Prime: Director of Women’s Programming at Dar al Hijrah Islamic Center, founder of the DC Muslim Women’s Conference. Studied Arabic and Quran at Fajr Institute in Cairo and Dar al Zahra in Yemen. Passionate about Islamic studies, cultural art, activism, and training leaders. Co-founder and Executive Director of Barakah INC.
Youssra Kamel Kandil: Motivational speaker focused on Quran and Sunnah. Worked with Dr. Amr Khaled and taught Quranic studies and Islamic history. Completed the Uwaylim Scholarship track and is currently working on hifz. Believes in conveying knowledge and inspiring others.
Muslema Purmul: Graduated from the University of California, San Diego with degrees in Religious Studies and Middle Eastern Studies. Studied Sharia at al-Azhar University and Islamic Studies at the American University in Cairo. Served the Southern California community in various capacities, including religious instruction, youth and young adult programs, university chaplaincy, and community pastoral care. Teaches classes on Islamic law and ethics nationally and internationally. Co-founded The Majlis, a community organization focused on nurturing safe spaces for learning and living Islam.
