Welcome to the Social Workers for Justice in Palestine event!
Join us at Mayday Space from 2-5pm for an afternoon dedicated to advocating for justice in Palestine.
This event is organized by a group of Social Workers and Mental Health Workers in NYC and will feature speakers and representatives from: Palestinian Youth Movement, US Campaign for Palestinian Rights, Americans for Justice in Palestine Action, Jewish Voices for Peace, Jews for Racial and Economic Justice, Israeli Anti-Zionist Network, NYC-DSA Anti-War Action Network, Librarians and Archivists for Palestine, and Columbia University Apartheid Divest.

Event Overview
The event begins at 2pm and has a full schedule of events from 2-5pm, including:
Education, Art, and Organizing Stations – explore educational materials and resources, engage in creative activities at the art station, and connect with representatives from advocacy groups and organizing collectives to learn about more ways to be involved in the movement for justice in Palestine.
Panel and Breakout Discussions – hear from a diverse group of leaders in mental health, social services, and Palestine solidarity activism, discussing the role of social workers and mental health workers at this time, and moving forward.
Dabke Demonstration and Workshop – learn about the cultural significance and history of Dabke and join in a brief dance workshop to close out the afternoon!
Ticket Information
Tickets are available for a sliding scale donation, with proceeds going to the Palestinian Youth Movement. This means you can choose to pay what feels right for you, based on your current circumstances. Every contribution, large or small, makes a difference.
Prefer to decide last minute? A limited number of tickets may be available at the door, depending on capacity. But to ensure your ability to join us on May 11th, reserve your ticket in advance!
Tickets for the afternoon event at Mayday Space are available now. You can purchase a ticket at the suggested donation price of $20 (plus taxes and fees) OR you can reserve a ticket through the Pay What You Wish option ($0, $5, $100 – any amount works there!)

- Light refreshments will be provided.
- This event is family friendly – childcare is not provided, however children are welcome and the arts activities are kid friendly.
