A collaboration between The Abrahamic Center for Cultural Education and Sabeel Center. Join us for two free, exciting workshops hosted in person at Sabeel Center!
(ALL WORKSHOPS ARE AGES 12+)
On April 1st / 11AM-1PM , try your hand at Islamic Calligraphy, with a workshop for beginners led by Aqsa Hashmi making Eid greeting cards.
On April 9th / 11AM-1PM, learn Glass Painting with a beginner’s workshop led by Samra Bashir. Paint Islamic geometric designs on glass to create an Eid gift for family, friends, or your home!

April 1st: Learn the artistic practice of handwriting and calligraphy, in the languages which use Arabic alphabet, or the alphabets derived from it. Each participant will learn to make 2 Eid cards.
One will have floral design and the other a Moroccan Geometric design background, and both will include Arabic Calligraphy.
All materials included.
April 9th: Participants will learn to paint traditional geometric designs on glass frames.
The class will approach glass painting from a beginner’s perspective. Students will be able to learn the basics of the direct method of glass painting. Step-by-step instructions will be provided for various glass painting processes and techniques. No artistic experience is necessary!
