Objective:
The objective of this interactive workshop is to facilitate a discussion around critical questions that can help participants think about making a deeper impact in Gaza. By exploring the needs of the community today and brainstorming alternatives to the donor-dependent model, participants will gain insights into how they can contribute to positive change in Gaza.
Workshop Overview:
At BuildPalestine, we are committed to taking an ecosystem approach towards addressing the challenges faced by Gaza. This workshop serves as a platform for participants to engage in dialogue, explore perspectives, and collaborate on solutions. Through interactive sessions and discussions, we aim to foster a deeper understanding of the complex issues and opportunities in Gaza.
Key Questions to Explore:
- What are the immediate needs of people on the ground in Gaza today?
- What will be the long-term requirements for rebuilding once the bombing ends?
- How can we move beyond the donor-dependent model of aid for Palestine and mobilize a global community to directly support initiatives on the ground?
Workshop Activities:
- Interactive Discussions: Participants will engage in facilitated discussions around the key questions, sharing insights and perspectives.
- Brainstorming Solutions: Small group activities will encourage participants to brainstorm innovative solutions and strategies for impactful action.
- Feature of Local Organizations: The workshop will feature the work of trusted, local organizations in Gaza, providing insights into their initiatives and how participants can support them.
This workshop is an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of the challenges in Gaza and explore how they can best support people on the ground. By asking critical questions and engaging in collaborative discussions, we aim to inspire action and foster a sense of collective responsibility towards building a better future for Gaza.
