After ten years of political impasse, Libya’s rival governments failed again during the latest round of talks to produce a unified government or a road map to overcome the obstacles to holding nationwide elections. Libya remains entrenched in political divisions, economic inequality, corruption, continued violence, and competing foreign interventions that perpetuate the conflict. Arab Center Washington DC (ACW), in partnership with the Abdulaziz Said Chair for Peace and Conflict Resolution at American University’s School of International Service (SIS), is co-hosting a panel to discuss Libya’s current conflict dynamics and potential pathways for peace and justice.
