Join Eve Huggins at ABAM for a Jewelry Workshop to make Egyptian Coil Earrings on Sunday, 10/20!
Join Eve Huggins and Laurence Daraskevich in making these alluring Egyptian coil earrings. Although there isn’t much evidence that the design originated in Egypt, the spiral design is found in cultures all over the world.
Pictured is an example of the earring using copper. Those spirals are beautiful. We’ll use sterling silver wire to make the coils using ordinary tools easily found in your local hardware store. Strong hands and fingers along with patience will be needed for this beautiful project. Once you learn you may want to make a bracelet or necklace to complement because the coils are stunning.
Class Cost: $85 (supplies included)
Class participation is limited to 18 years and older
During the class the following techniques are used: open flame, soldering, pliers, sanding, hammering and pickling of silver. By attending the class you agree to follow all safety precautions set forth by the Instructor and Atlantic Beach Arts Market.
Please note:
If you have a medical condition that can be triggered by sounds, this class does use hammers on metal which might be triggering to some people.
