ALEXANDRIA, VA

This is a series of 1.5 hour classes on three Mondays: July 8, 15, and 22 from 7-8:30pm

Tunisian crochet combines crochet and knitting, then produces a finished fabric that can look woven, knitted, or crocheted. Seems like magic, right? It is certainly fun. Come learn the basics and leave with a lovely cowl. No previous knitting or crocheting experience required.

You will learn basic Tunisian crochet skills, including foundation chains, forward and return passes, and a few stitch variations.

Materials you must bring to class:

  • 284 yds of any bulky/chunky yarn (142 yds each of 2 colors is recommended)
  • 100 yds of any worsted weight practice yarn
  • US size N (10mm) Tunisian (Afghan) crochet hook (either 12”-14” or hook with any length cable)
  • US size L (8mm) Tunisian (Afghan) crochet hook (either 12”-14” or hook with any length cable)
  • tapestry needle
  • scissors

Instructor:Dawn Zurell. Class size: 2-6 participants.

(Register by July 1)
