ONE YEAR OF GENOCIDE, ONE YEAR OF RESISTANCE
As we reach this grim milestone – one year of genocide in Gaza – it is imperative that we support our people now more than ever. Our people in Palestine are demonstrating their commitment to revolution and steadfastness as they continue to resist against the zionist occupation. Just as we are approaching one year of genocide, we are also approaching one year of resistance from the people of Gaza.
As we approach the one year mark of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, we must embody the determination and the steadfastness of our people in Gaza. On October 5th, we are answering the call to fortify and support the Sumud of our people, and to commemorate their resistance against the zionist occupation.
As a way of standing with our people in Gaza, we are hosting a fundraiser for Gaza which will entail an evening of Palestinian culture and art. All proceeds of the event will be donated to the Middle Eastern Children’s Alliance (MECA) and used to aid our people in Palestine.
We will have performances by Ramzi Aburedwan & his Dalouna Ensemble featuring Ouday Al Khatib. Ramzi Aburedwan is a Palestinian composer from the Amari refugee camp in the West Bank who founded the Dalouna Ensemble, and Al Kamandjati which is a non-profit organization that provides music classes to Palestinian children with a focus on youth living in refugee camps, the West Bank, Gaza, and Lebanon.
Students can use the promo code STUDENT4GAZA for a discounted rate.
Let us come together as a community and support the Sumud of our people and their resistance from here in the Bay Area.
