We are thrilled to be partnering with the African Studies Program here at UW-Madison to present a children’s book entitled “The Arabic Quilt: An Immigrant Story”. A UW student from Egypt will be reading from the book. We will also introduce basic Arabic words, a display of Egyptian artifacts, create an art project based on the book, and sample Egyptian cuisine!
This is part of a series that introduces children to award-winning children’s literature that celebrates the diversity of art, culture, food, and language across the African continent. Click herefor more information about the Children’s African Story Hour.
This program is free and for all ages of children & their families.
