Join us for the first Palestine Winter Market and fundraiser for Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA) on Dec 14, in San Jose! You can purchase unique gifts from and about Palestine that help families in Gaza and the West Bank. These include olive oil, pottery and ceramics, embroidery, jewelry, olive wood products, keffiyehs from Nablus and Hirbawi, scarves, Palestinian Dead Sea products, soaps, children’s toys and books, kitchenware, food products, T-shirts, thobes, and much more.
Celebrate the rich culinary heritage with delicious food and coffee from local Palestinian and Lebanese businesses. A list of vendors is available here.
This is a family-friendly event featuring henna and storytime with Tala El-Fahmawi, author of the children’s book Salim’s Soccer Ball, a moving story about everyday life in Palestine. We’ll also sell raffle tickets to win a beautiful, authentic Palestinian Thobe!
