Mashewe Dinner (Lebanese Barbecue)

Reminiscent of Sunday dinners at Teta and Jeddo’s house (Grandma and Grandpa) where the family and food never stop flowing.

Proceeds from this dinner will be donated to the Lebanese Red Cross as well as to Direct Mutual Aid funds for families in Lebanon affected by the war and families in North Carolina affected by Hurricane Helene

Welcome cocktail:

Vodka Mint lemonade, Can be made non alcoholic on request!

Every ticket includes one welcome cocktail or mocktail, plus self-serve Beer and Arak on the dinner table.

Amouse Bouche

Warak Enab – Grape leaves stuffed with tomatoes, onions, mint, rice, and spices. Served with cucumber yogurt sauce. Vegetarian, gluten free

Stuffed dates – Dates, texas pecans, whipped gorgonzola, chili crisp. Vegetarian, gluten free

Rakakat -Akawi Cheese and oregano, fried in phyllo. Vegetarian

Kibbet Batata -Herbs, Spices, Cracked wheat, Potatoes. Vegetarian (Contains gluten)

Main:

Lamb- Marinated lamb grilled on skewers with onions and tomatoes. Gluten free

Kafta- Local ground beef mixed with onions, parsley and spices, and grilled on a skewer. Gluten free

Drumsticks and Toum- Marinated and grilled chicken, with garlic sauce. Gluten Free

Alternate mains for vegetarians upon request (let us know when you purchase your ticket!)

Sheik El Mehshi- Eggplants, stuffed and grilled. Filled with a mixture of spiced rice, caramelized onions, lentils, and sauteed pine nuts. Gluten free

Fatayer -Spinach za’atar pastries.

Grilled Vegetables- Marinated and grilled oyster mushrooms, peppers, onions, and tomatoes. Gluten free

Accompaniments:

Hummus. Vegetarian, gluten free

Tabouli- A parsley, tomato, green onion and bulgur salad dressed with lemon and olive oil. Vegetarian (gluten free portions available)

Fries. Vegetarian, gluten free

Ice cream
