Crossing Borders in Palestinian Contemporary Art
The Umm el-Fahem Gallery in northern Israel’s Arab Wadi Ara region exhibits contemporary Palestinian and Arab art. The catch: it’s part gallery and part social service center, dedicated to improving the lives of the region’s 50,000 residents, 60% of whom live in poverty.
