Jerusalem and West Bank Christian Palestinian Populations Shrinking while Christian Community in Israel Proper Grows Slightly

Recent comments by the Archbishop of Canterbury point to the disparities between Arab Christians living in the Holy Land and those living in Israel proper. Contributing writer, John Mason, points to a semantic issue that has arisen between Israeli census counters and Christian leaders that clouds the issue of how many Christians are leaving the Holy Land to greener pastures. Tunisian Politics: First Woman Prime Minister of the Arab World

Amid political tension in Tunisia, President Kais Saied appointed Najla Bouden Rhomdane as the first female Prime Minister in Tunisia and the Arab world. Romdhane was appointed prime minister after President Saied dismissed her predecessor and suspended parliament in July. While Rhomdane’s appointment is positive for many women in the Arab world, Tunisia has been going through a political crisis that has triggered skepticism around Rhomdane’s appointment.
