Matrix Human Services, a 501(c)3 organization, has served the Detroit community and surrounding areas for more than 107 years. The League of Catholic Women led the way in 1906 with a vision and mission to fight poverty. Today our mission remains the same as we continue to touch hearts and change lives in our community. With 17 programs at 26 locations, Matrix Human Services serves more than 10,000 individuals and families each year.

MATRIX HUMAN SERVICES VISTAS NUEVAS HEAD START IS CURRENTLY ENROLLING 3 AND 4 YEAR OLD CHILDREN INTO ITS FREE, FEDERALLY-FUNDED PRE-SCHOOL PROGRAM.
We have immediate openings available call today (313) 962-5255 for additional information. Applications for consideration are accepted throughout the school year.
• The program is open to all low-income families and families with children with special needs, who live in the greater Southwest Detroit area – – living in the zip codes of 48201, parts of 48208, 48209, 48210, 48216, 48217, and 48226.
• Head Start programs are federally funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. To qualify for the program, applicants must live in the City of Detroit; provide verification of the child’s birth and proof of income.
• Matrix Vistas Nuevas Head Start has a home-based option, full and part-day sessions which provide high quality pre-school education.
