Biden to meet next week with leaders in Middle East
Vice President Joe Biden plans meetings with key leaders in the Middle East when he visits the region next week.
The White House says Biden and his wife, Jill, will depart Washington on Saturday. The trip begins in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, where Biden will meet with the country’s leaders there.
Biden heads to Jerusalem and Ramallah, in the West Bank, for meetings Tuesday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin, as well as with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
Biden’s final stop is Amman, Jordan, and a meeting with King Abdullah II to discuss the Islamic State group and Syrian.
Biden also expects to visit a U.S.-Jordanian military training camp.
