There have been a few debates on determining which coffee is the best, and Arabic coffee or American coffee reign on the top of the throne.

American coffee and Arabic coffee have their own benefits, provided that each of them is made differently and provides totally different results.

“When it comes to their difference in caffeine level, Robusta beans contain twice the level of caffeine than Arabica beans. Arabica beans have a milder, more aromatic taste while Robusta beans hold a stronger, more acquired flavor.”

“Arabica beans are flat and oval in shape while Robusta beans have a more obvious round shape. When they are still on their plant, the beans can easily be told apart by their difference in color as Arabica beans are a darker shade of green then Robusta beans.”

The difference between the two coffee beans are shown below on each provides their own values:

Arabica Beans

·      Grown at high altitudes above 800m

·      Grown in places with higher climates

·      Mild, well balanced in flavor

·      More expensive coffee bean

·      Naturally lower in caffeine

Robusta Beans

·      Commonly used in instant coffee

·      Grown at lower altitudes between 200m-800m

·      Grown in places with lower climates

·      More astringent and bitter in flavor

·      Has twice the amount of caffeine than Arabica beans

Is Arab Coffee better than American Coffee?

To answer that question is up to the person who drinks both. It depends if you like your coffee with a light roast vs one with a darker roast; on the other hand, if you prefer a milder taste, then you should not compare it to a stronger more adequate flavor.

Arabic coffee is more meant for a weekend or nighttime drink, while American coffee is made to be quick and drank during the morning before you head in for work.

Each blend is made different to suit people’s needs during the day but ultimately depends on what coffee the person is feeling to drink that day. Either or, coffee is coffee and both get the job done when you drink them.
