Arab-American Women's Conference Scheduled for March 12-15, 2009 at Kansas State University
An Arab-American Women Conference is scheduled for March 12-15, 2009 at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas.
Scholars from around the world will address a variety of topics, including issues of gender, identity, health, assimilation, experiences, challenges, and accomplishments.
This is the first scholarly conference on Arab-American women and should, therefore, fill a gap in our understanding of this important subject.
Papers from the conference will be edited for publication, and the resultant volume will become an important and objective resource for scholars, policy makers and the general public.
On the website, www.dce.k-state.edu/conf/arabamericanwomen, you will also find information about conference registration, sponsorship levels, and opportunities to advertise in our conference program.
