Arab America Launches its New Digital Media Platform in Michigan

posted on: Mar 25, 2015

Arab America (www.arabamerica.com), a leading provider of digital media to Arab Americans, will launch their innovative new website and Arab America Television on Saturday morning April 4, 2015 (10:30am-12:00pm) at the Arab American National Museum, 13624 Michigan Avenue Dearborn, Michigan.

Founded in Michigan in 2007 as Arab Detroit, the newly designed website is unique in that it combines social media and mobile applications for iPhone, Android, and mobile devices. The applications combine a high-tech digital platform with a user-friendly format. The website features the latest events and news in the Arab American community—including but not limited to: advocacy, culture, education, and entertainment.

Arab America Television is a 24 hour web-based linear channel streaming in North America via the web and soon Roku. Additionally, it can be accessed on smart devices through Arab America’s new App for Android and iPhone mobile devices as well as Apple TV, and Google TV. As the first channel to stream educational and cultural content about the Arab world and Arab Americans, the new television channel is a platform for award winning documentaries, feature films, comedy, and music.

Arab America’s audience includes the emerging Arab American market in addition to non-Arab Americans who are interested to learn more about the Arab World, Arab Americans, and Arab culture.

“When we launched as Arab Detroit in 2007, our intent was to connect the diverse Arab American community throughout southeastern Michigan. Today we are the source of events, information, and resources for the entire country.” said Warren David, Arab America president. “Digital media is the wave of the future and our new digital platform integrates social media and mobile applications in addition to our new television channel,”

Arab America is a national organization founded with the purpose of promoting an accurate image about the Arab American community and the Arab world through the dissemination of events and information via the web, radio, social media, and television.

With close to four million Arab Americans in the U.S., Arab America’s primary mission is to unify the diverse and growing Arab American community and to act as a “bridge” between the Arab American and non-Arab American mainstream communities.

The event is by invitation only. For more information and media inquiries, contact Arab America at 202-827-4005 or via email: info@arabamerica.com
