Ann Coulter Offends Muslims, Veterans, Immigrants, and Everyone Inbetween #HummusHaters
With all the anti-Arab bashing we see in the news every week, Arab America is determined to expose those who discriminate against our community. We will recognize those who vilify the positive influence and contributions Arabs have made to the fabric of American society. And we will use hummus as our weapon. By naming those who vilify the Arab American community as #HummusHaters, we can express our culture positively while showing intolerance to bigotry.

Conservative political pundit and author, Ann Coulter, is facing backlash this week after sending a crude tweet that offended Muslims, veterans, respected journalist Fareed Zakaria, and grammar sticklers.
Coulter sent her tweet in response to a speech given at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night by Khizr Khan, an American Muslim. Khan spoke at the convention about his son, fallen Iraq War Army Captain Humayun Khan.
“Donald Trump consistently smears the character of Muslims,” Khan said. “He disrespects minorities and women, judges, even his own party leadership. He vows to build walls and ban us from this country.”
“Donald Trump, you’re asking us to trust you with our future. Let me ask you: Have you even read the United States Constitution?” Khan asked, while holding up a pocket version of the U.S. Constitution.
Khizr Khan holds up a copy of the ConstitutionThe Khan family is of Pakistani origin, but migrated to the U.S. from the United Arab Emirates. Khizr Khan and his family represent the typical “American dream” of migrating to America, getting an education, contributing to society, and living in peace and prosperity. Khan’s son was killed in Iraq in 2004 by a car bomb.
In her misspelled tweet, Ann Coulter said: “You know what this convention really needed? An angry Muslim with a thick accent like Fareed Zacaria.”

Coulter was referring to CNN host, journalist, and author Fareed Zakaria, who is Indian American and speaks with an accent. Despite the fact that India is the largest English speaking country in the world, Ann Coulter seems to believe that only white people have a really good hold of the language.
Surely, the conservative author should be unconditionally supportive of fallen U.S. soldiers… If they’re not Muslim.
Coulter has yet to apologize or feel any remorse; conservatives and liberals are criticizing her together.
Since Ann Coulter doesn’t seem like the type to read the opinions people have of her, we offer some hummus instead. They say the fastest way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Maybe the same applies to bigots, too.
