American-Arab Chamber Honors MBT with Economic Bridge award

This is the first such award presented to Monroe Bank & Trust
Monroe Bank & Trust received the Economic Bridge Builder of the Year award from the American Arab Chamber of Commerce.
The award was presented Oct. 13.
MBT was one of 25 companies recognized by the chamber for honoring the past, the present and shaping the future within the Arab-American and greater community.
“We’re so proud to receive this award from such a trusted and wellrespected organization,” said H. Douglas Chaffin, MBT president and CEO in a news release. ” We look forward to more opportunities to work with American Arab Chamber of Commerce to help individuals and businesses in our community thrive.”
The American Arab Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization based in Dearborn dedicated to actively supporting its members as well as providing business solutions to ensure their businesses can grow and prosper. The AACC is the largest Arab- American business organization in the country.
“Monroe Bank & Trust’s accomplishments are a paradigmatic example of what it means to build economic and cultural bridges, said Fay Beydoun, executive director of the chamber.
“We believe the bank’s commitment to investing in the development of their organization in a way that has had a positive impact on the greater community is the epitome of what the chamber represents,” she said.
This is the first Economic Bridge Builder of the Year Award the bank has received.
