ACCESS Board Member Inducted into Silver Circle
ACCESS’ Gerald Smith has been inducted into the Michigan Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ (MI-NATAS) prestigious 2010 Silver Circle. MI-NATAS is dedicated to the advancement and recognition of excellence in television and the Silver Circle Award was established to recognize the efforts and accomplishments of individuals in the television industry. Mr. Smith is only the second cable inductee in the award’s 27-year history.
An ACCESS board member, Gerald Smith has had a distinguished career in television. He has worked in the Government Affairs Department at Comcast for 11 years. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Smith co-hosted Detroit Public Television’s noted call in talk-show “Back-to-Back” as well as hosting the talk show “Making the Grade.” Mr. Smith has served as the Director of Community and Project Development at Detroit Public Television and is currently hosting community television specials on Comcast Television.
